ABOUT the Author & Illustrators of Redemption: Saving Our Town:

Ge'Khiya Brown - Primary Illustrator 
Ge’Khiya Brown was born in Pensacola, Florida. She has a grave passion for creating, analyzing, and synthesizing. When she was younger, Ge’Khiya always aspired to become an Astronaut or Engineer.  She attended Summer Space Camp at the Huntsville, AL U.S. Space and Rocket Center for four years in order to attain experiences for this endeavor.  In addition, she attended several STEM based summer camps to further enhance her knowledge and hands on experiences in multimedia, technology, and filming.  A few of Ge’Khiya’s hobbies are Soccer, Filming and Photography, Reading, and Researching. Now that she is older, MULTI-MEDIA PRODUCTION and TECHNOLOGY have become her main focus.  She also enjoys spending one on one time with her mom, playing video games with her dad, dancing, hanging out with her friends, and listening to music.  She is the primary illustrator of the book.  

Erica L. Brown - Primary Author  & Illustrator 
Erica L. Brown was born in Monroeville, Alabama.  She moved to Pensacola, Florida at an early age where she graduated High School in the top 10th percentile of her senior class.  She went on to attend Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University as an Elementary Education major graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree – Magna Cum Laude.  Erica attained her Masters of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Troy University - Magna Cum Laude.  She has also attended Yale Child Study Center, where she received Professional Development and Leadership Training/Certification in Teaching, Learning, and Child Development: under the leadership of Dr. James P. Comer.  Erica is currently a Life Counselor, School Counselor, and Academic Advisor, where she is serving in her passion to instill life lessons of love, perseverance, and academic success to all of her clients and students.  She is happily married to Grover C. Brown, Jr.  - who also just happens to be her best friend. 

The Story
The story is inspired by Ge'Khiya and her very vivid imagination. She made up all of the characters during a science project that her class was studying at preschool.  As time moved forward, she continued to add more and more characters to her scrapbook. By the time she was in third grade, her narratives became riveting, and her detailed descriptions of chronological events aligned with her characters to well to ignore.  It was then that her mom began to record her storytelling - finding her aspiration to write a book inevitable; and as a result the book was in motion!  So now, Erica and Ge'Khiya Brown present to  you... "REDEMPTION - SAVING OUR TOWN!"

Overview
This is a book that is action packed from beginning to end!! It delivers intriguing life messages of several essential everyday-livelihood necessities. Life necessities such as morals, values, integrity, intellect, kindness, forgiveness, friendships, family, and most importantly, team work smothered with huge amounts of unconditional love.  Both Erica and Ge'Khiya hope that a story of this sort will captivate the attention of others in a fun and innovative manner!!  It's really a great read for all ages!
